A well-rounded student’s lesson should include additional studies on shifting,
vibrato, double-stops, and reading. While the introduction of ensemble work –
such as chamber music and orchestra-will broaden the student’s musical
experience, it is strongly recommend that the essential workon tonalization
and musicality continues to develop through the use of repertoire both on the
individual lesson and in a regular group class.
