In the words of author Rae de Lisle,
"It is a great privilege to have been able to commission this wonderful set of etudes from 12 of New Zealand's foremost composers. Each composer was assigned a specific piano technique based on the concepts described in the book Fit 4 Piano and asked to write an etude using that skill. The idea was for these etudes to provide a creative way of practising the technical principles that are outlined in the book.
These etudes will be enjoyable for intermediate and advanced students from around the Grade 6-8 level. They are beautiful pieces which could also be grouped together as concert repertoire. A video performance of each piece by oneof New Zealand's most celebrated pianists, Stephen De Pledge, can be accessed through the QR codes printed with the notes on the music at the end of the book.
In discussing the technique for each etude, these notes refer to video exercises from Fit 4 Piano and from our online course Exploring Piano Technique. These exercises can be practised in conjunction with learning the piece to helpthe ease of playing."

Anthony Ritchie – Daydream by the Clutha
