The Yamaha UX50BL upright piano is a typical U3 height of 131cm but has been built with upgraded materials, making this a rare find. The “X” refers to the X-shaped frame that supports the soundboard of the piano. This allows the piano a slightly longer string and a stronger and more freely resonating tone. These don’t come up very often! You’ll notice that this model has a large grand piano style music desk instead of a 1-piece lift up desk found on the standard Yamaha U3.
